IBIZA – Carl Cox has issued a statement saying he is unable to play his highly anticipated set at DC10 on Monday due to a fractured ankle.
Coxy’s sets at DC10 are the stuff of Ibiza legend with performances outside of his usual home at Space something of a rarity on the white isle. The big man was set to do his thing on Monday 14th September but has been forced to cancel due to further treatment required on a fractured ankle. “It is with deep regret,” his statement explains “that I have been told I can not fly back to Ibiza until my treatment is finished.” The statement goes on to explain that Carl Cox will be back in Ibiza for his residency at Space the following day: “I will of course be back on Tuesday for my night Carl Cox at Space and hope to see you all there for another fantastic event.”

“As you may be aware I fractured my ankle and sustained some ligament damage a couple of weeks ago so under doctors orders I have had to go to the hospital to receive some further treatment.
So it is with deep regret that I have been told I can not fly back to Ibiza until my treatment is finished.
Meaning I will not be able to play Circo Loco at DC10 on Monday, I am gutted I can not play as it is a guilty pleasure for me. My home away from Space, Ibiza. Please accept my sincere apologies for not being there it is one of the highlights of my year and is in no way a reflection on DC10 me not being able to play.
I truly am disappointed I can not be at the show with you but I need to make sure that my health is taken care of first of so I can be back at full capacity. I will of course be back on tuesday for my night @carlcoxatspace and hope to see you all there for another fantastic event.”
