no nameSAN JOSE – San Jose closes three beach bars, No Name in Playa d’en Bossa, Soul Beach in es Cordolar and Reggae in Cala de Bou on the grounds they have abused their license.

All three of the chiringuito establishments are accused of conducting unlicensed activity on the premises after organising parties involving hundreds of people that have been the subject of complaints from neighbours. Local police have reported serious infringements from all three beach bars which have seen multiple inspections from authorities over the course of the summer.

Besides not having the proper permits, all three bars organised large scale beach parties without ensuring the safety of those attending leading to closure orders being issued. In addition to these closures, Beach House in Playa d’en Bossa and Dharma in Cala de Bou have also received partial closing orders again on the grounds that they are operating as a nightclub despite only possessing a cafe-restaurant license.
