100 actors, 15 make-up artists, 100 litres of blood and 100s of prosthetics await 300 passengers set to partake in the first ever zombie cruise leaving Valencia on 25th September and due to arrive in Ibiza the next day. The boat leaves the mainland at 22.45 arriving in Ibiza at 6.00 in the morning after a night of zombie apocalypse survival escapades on board the Trasmediterránea ship.
Once safely disembarked on the white isle, survivors will then be taken to a hotel for some rest before the choice of going out for the night at one of the island’s clubs or participating in the 33rd edition of ‘Survival Zombie’, an RPG in which participants must overcome several obstacles along a route in San Antonio, escaping the grasps of the undead to survive. Tickets for the event, which has a capacity of 300 beds, cost between 240 and 290 euros.
Over 20,000 people have taken part in ‘Survival Zombie’ games across Spain over the past five years. Trasmediterránea, the ferry company working with organisers Word Real Games has stressed its intention to begin a line of thematic trips to Ibiza.
