A flight with Jet2, which took off from Ibiza on Sunday to Leeds (England) had to land emergency at the Barcelona airport due to pressure loss in the cabin. According to the BBC, passengers on board the flight experienced moments of “panic” when the air pressure in the cabin fell to such an extent that the oxygen masks were released.
Tom Miller, who was on the flight, told the BBC about the panic situation that was experienced inside the plane. According to the passenger, it felt like they were very close to the water. When the pilot said they were “at a safe level” and that the masks could be removed, they could breathe easily again. After the emergency landing at the Barcelona airport, passengers switched planes to continue the journey. Jet2 said the flight was diverted due to a “minor technical problem” and apologized to the passengers on the plane.
