In a move to enhance safety at the popular Platja d’en Bossa, Ibiza has introduced a security bollard to block vehicle access on a busy pedestrian path. This decision follows several incidents where cars ended up on the sandy beach, posing potential risks. Councillor Rubén Sousa highlighted that this path has been open for years, but recent months have seen an increase in vehicle intrusions. From now on, only authorised vehicles, such as those belonging to cleaning crews, hotel staff, and sunbed and beach bar services, will be allowed access. This change aims to ensure a safer beach experience for tourists and locals alike, maintaining the charm and safety of one of Ibiza's prime spots.
