In an effort to boost the enchanting beach atmosphere in Santa Eulària, local authorities have embarked on a significant clean-up operation at the river's mouth. Known for its inviting beaches, Ibiza's Santa Eulària is tackling the challenge of accumulated sand that has been obstructing the water flow between the river and the sea, potentially affecting water quality. The intervention involves the removal of around 70 truckloads of sand, which will then be redistributed along the shoreline, replenishing sections impacted by storms. This maintenance, coinciding with the period following local sporting events, ensures the least disruption as the island gears up for peak tourist season. Specialist machinery is in action to carefully navigate the delicate infrastructure and restore the beach to its natural splendour, promising a pristine sunbathing and swimming experience for returning and new visitors alike.
