One UK tourist, attempting a trip from Hotel Puchet in Sant Antoni to the Ushuaïa club for a Calvin Harris set, found an Uber van priced at €157.99 for a 14-minute journey. In stark contrast, a traditional taxi would typically charge around €30-35 for a similar route. Another traveler departing from Hotel Torre del Mar encountered fares no lower than €130, with Uber noting 'higher than usual prices.' As Uber explains, increased demand can outpace available rides, leading to inflated prices, especially during events.
