Having successfully tackled issues like illegal street vending before, the unit's proactive approach is a reassuring presence both for holidaymakers and the local community. Their influence stretches beyond just beach patrols, with strategically coordinated actions with other police services ensuring a safe and enjoyable seaside experience. Last year, their concerted efforts led to over 2,000 interventions, of which 115 targeted illegal sales, highlighting their ongoing commitment to maintaining the island's relaxed vibe.
