Santa Eulària des Riu is rolling out the red carpet for its iconic beaches just in time for the influx of sun-seeking tourists. Over the last few weeks, local authorities have been meticulously sprucing up more than 70,000 square metres of stunning coastline to ensure an optimal experience for visitors this season. The comprehensive refresh is part of a sustainable beach management initiative, granting these shores the attention they deserve following winter's impact. Starting in mid-March, well ahead of the Easter surge, the preparatory work included fine-tuning the sandy contours to minimise erosion and wave impact, a technically challenging task in areas like Es Canar and Cala Martina. This time around, nature has played nicely—the usual hefty piles of posidonia seaweed were notably absent, further easing beach preparations. Through a combination of mechanical and manual efforts featuring tractors and a dedicated cleaning crew, Santa Eulària's beaches, including the likes of Es Figueral and Cala Llonga, are poised to offer an idyllic backdrop for this year's unforgettable Ibiza escape. Ready your beach towels as this coastal wonderland promises sun-kissed memories without the usual nature-driven headaches.
