Guidelines include seeking shade, keeping heads covered, wearing light clothing, and staying hydrated. Visitors should also remember to use sunscreen, avoid physical exertion during peak hours—the middle of the day—and steer clear of alcohol and caffeine. Most importantly, never leave the young, elderly, or pets in parked vehicles.
