The glitz and glamour of Ibiza momentarily paused as the island faced an unexpected bout of torrential rains, courtesy of the weather system 'Adam'. The intense downpour, which saw emergency units from the Unidad Militar de Emergencias arriving from Valencia, created widespread disruption. Key roads were rendered impassable and the bustling Ibiza Airport found itself submerged, leading to flight cancellations and diversions. Meanwhile, the city's streets turned into waterways, much to the dismay of both locals and club-hoppers. Rainfall metrics proved staggering at the Formentera station, capturing 117.8 litres per square metre, closely followed by Ibiza Airport at 117.3 litres. Other affected areas included Sant Antoni and Sant Joan de Labritja, recording significant precipitation levels as well. Travellers might experience some turbulence in their plans, but once the clouds part, Ibiza's famed sunshine and club scene await their usual revelry.
