Spearheaded by Ecovidrio, in partnership with Ibiza's council and business associations, this project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the hospitality sector through a commitment to sustainable and circular economic practices. Participating hotels can access free online courses on waste management, energy efficiency, and sustainability. These strides have already contributed to a 4.5% increase in glass recycling in June, reflecting a growing environmental awareness among local citizens, businesses, and institutions. By fostering collaboration between public officials, hotel professionals, and specialised organisations, 'Net Green Hotels' is set to transform Ibiza's tourism into a greener, more sustainable industry, making it an essential destination for eco-conscious tourists from the UK and beyond.
