Ibiza's airport experienced a remarkable rise in passenger numbers this June, with 60,000 more travellers compared to the same month last year, marking a 3.2% increase. According to detailed traffic reports from Aena, UK tourists made a significant contribution to this growth. The British market accounted for 309,773 passengers, with Manchester leading the charge with 53,087 arrivals, surpassing London Gatwick with 45,516. Other notable British airports bringing sun-seekers to Ibiza include Birmingham and Bristol. Interestingly, while Spanish and Italian visitors showed an upward trend, German visitors decreased by 8% compared to last year. Among other European nations, Belgium saw a notable rise of 10.2%, primarily through Brussels Airport, while France's influx rose by 3.4%, with Marseille showing impressive growth.
