Ibiza and Formentera's hotels have achieved the highest profitability in Spain, outstripping other holiday hotspots with a RevPAR (revenue per available room) of €225.1 over the summer months. This marks a 9.5% increase compared to the previous year, according to tourism industry group Exceltur. Despite a 2.4% decline in total demand, largely due to a drop in international visitors, these Balearic gems showed that a focus on quality could offset reduced foot traffic. Other areas in Baleares, such as Mallorca and Menorca, also reported significant increases in RevPAR, indicating that enhanced offerings and price adjustments are strategies successfully employed by the region.
