Emergency Response Team Departs Ibiza After Battling Severe Weather Impact

The island of Ibiza bids farewell to the Military Emergency Unit (UME) which departed after crucial efforts to mitigate the impact of the recent weather turmoil, known as dana Adam. This team, arriving from Valencia last Sunday, stepped in to aid emergency services tackling heavy rain-induced chaos, including flooding and road disruptions across Ibiza and Formentera. A notable operation involved draining waterlogged areas in Cala Nova, es Canar, where 25 vehicles were stranded. The team used drones and specialised equipment to address safety concerns, particularly on roadway EI-321. As the UME wraps up its mission, the departures mark the end of an intense period, leaving Ibiza's infrastructure on the mend after the significant weather event.
