Ibiza's public transport system has seen an impressive surge in usage this summer, with its beach-bound bus routes experiencing a remarkable increase in passengers. From May to July, the lines serving picturesque spots like Cala Salada, Benirràs, ses Salines, and the Cala d’Hort corridor have welcomed an astounding 59,505 more travellers compared to the same period last year. In particular, the new P7 route to Cala Salada has been a game changer, with a 144.3% rise in passengers compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, demand for buses to ses Salines has surged by 70.4%, proving these enhanced services are a hit among tourists seeking a convenient alternative to driving. The western route covering spots like Sant Josep and Cala d’Hort has also shown a 73% uptick in users, making it easier for sunseekers to access these stunning beaches. Impressively, Benirràs tops the growth chart with a 443.7% increase in bus passengers, highlighting the growing preference for not being behind the wheel in peak season. For tourists and locals alike, the newly revamped network is ensuring smoother access to Ibiza's scenic beaches while easing traffic congestion.
