Ibiza's main access road to the airport is back in action after severe flooding led to its closure. Torrential rains from what is being referred to as storm Adam caused the road to shut down at the busy Platja d’en Bossa roundabout, halting traffic in both directions. This major disruption took place on Sunday and continued into Monday as downpours and incidents across the island kept emergency services busy. The Consell Insular de Ibiza confirmed the temporary reopening of all roads on Sunday, but fresh overnight rainfall forced another closure between kilometres 3 and 5.5. Fortunately, the road has now been reopened, ensuring smoother access to one of the island’s most critical transport routes as the weather stabilises. Tourists heading to or from the airport should now find smoother sailing amidst Ibiza’s undeniable allure.
