In just five months, Alsa, the public transport operator in Ibiza, has reported a remarkable 26% increase in passenger numbers, moving 4,958,831 travellers since taking over in April. This surge peaked in August with over 1.25 million passengers, marking a 40% year-on-year jump. The company has expanded its workforce to 390, including 350 drivers, by hiring from the mainland and overseeing housing for its staff. Alsa has also introduced 70 new vehicles, blending electric and hybrid models, significantly cutting down carbon emissions. Beyond transport, the operator has enhanced customer service with a robust digital presence and service information points.
