Cala Llonga Beach Hut Faces Demolition: Impact for UK Beachgoers

Cala Llonga Beach Hut Faces Demolition: Impact for UK Beachgoers

Santa Eulària authorities are set to proceed with steps to dismantle a cherished beach kiosk in Cala Llonga. The spot, popular among tourists for its picturesque charm, awaits potential demolition pending the go-ahead from the Coastal Demarcation. Adjacent to a playground, this beach kiosk shares its locale with another kiosk right-side of the beach, both spread across 75 square metres and sitting on publicly owned land. Despite their popularity, their operational licenses have expired, and they now face official demolition orders. The one near local hotels is first on the list, with planning slated to begin for its removal, pending administrative approvals. This move might change the landscape for UK tourists seeking the idyllic Ibiza beach experience they've come to adore.

Unexpected Power Cuts Hit Ibiza, Disrupting Businesses and Tourists

Ibiza's renowned party scene faced an unexpected hurdle as power outages disrupted operations across key parts of the island, including the lively Avenida de Sant Jordi. Affected businesses, such as a local petrol station, a McDonald’s, and a nearby car wash, found themselves without electricity, halting services and dampening the spirits of tourists eager to experience Ibiza’s vibrant atmosphere. These incidents come on the heels of similar issues faced by areas like Can Misses and Cas Serres last weekend, even impacting local sports events, such as UD Ibiza's activities. Despite concern among visitors and locals, electricity supplier Endesa has assured that these are isolated incidents—often due to specific technical issues or planned maintenance. The company remains committed to improving the island’s infrastructure, ensuring that Ibiza continues to shine as a premier destination for British clubbing enthusiasts.
