Salt Bae's Luxury Vision Takes Shape in Ibiza with 'The N Residences'

Salt Bae's Luxury Vision Takes Shape in Ibiza with 'The N Residences'

The allure of Ibiza takes a luxurious twist as Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, globally recognised as Salt Bae, advances his ambitious project, 'The N Residences', nestled between the vibrant Avenue Vuit d’Agost and the scenic Paseo Marítimo. Slated for completion by early 2027, this opulent complex will boast 51 exclusive apartments and four world-class restaurants, one of which will bear Salt Bae's signature flair.

Since its inception in 2024, the multifaceted project has captured Salt Bae’s direct involvement, passionately monitoring its progress amidst his critique of local environmental issues like the pungent Sa Llavanera torrent. Yet, undeterred, he recently expressed elation over the project's nearing fruition, heralding it as a standout addition to Ibiza’s high-end real estate landscape.

Investment in these sumptuous spaces starts at €1.13 million for a one-bedroom ground floor apartment, all before taxes. An underground car park accommodating 80 vehicles further enhances the complex's appeal, illustrating Salt Bae's venture beyond his culinary empire into the realms of luxury living on this beloved party island. Known for his iconic salting technique, the chef continues to make waves, cementing his influence both on and off the plate.

Ibiza's urban beaches have taken a significant step forward in their allure for UK clubbing tourists who cherish not only the vibrant nightlife but also the island's sun-kissed shores. All four of Ibiza's city beaches, known for their picturesque settings and inviting sandy stretches, have been awarded the SICTED distinction. This coveted badge recognises the efforts towards sustainability, intelligence, and overall quality in the tourism experience. The latest beach to receive this honour is Sa Punta, more commonly referred to by locals as playa de es Viver. It joins Talamanca, Figueretes, and platja d’en Bossa, which received the distinction last year. The award celebrates years of dedicated efforts to rehabilitate these beaches, ensuring they are pristine and accessible for both residents and international visitors who flock to Ibiza each season. These initiatives included managing marine life and shores sustainably, clearing unauthorised anchor sites, and enhancing areas for recreation. Ruben Sousa, Ibiza's Beaches Councillor, highlighted how significant this recognition is for the transformation efforts that make these beaches perfect for leisure and sports enthusiasts alike. With improvements such as beach bars and sunbed services, Sa Punta exemplifies Ibiza's commitment to enhancing tourist experiences. This development resonates particularly with UK audiences who yearn for a taste of Mediterranean bliss, combining the thrill of Ibiza's nightlife and restorative relaxation on top-tier beaches.

A Year On: Platja d’en Bossa's Charred Remains Stand in Stark Contrast to Ibiza's Glamour

In the heart of Ibiza’s pulsating tourist hub, Platja d’en Bossa, the remnants of a devastating fire from June 2025 continue to cast a shadow over its sun-soaked image. The blaze, which tore through prime beachfront locales like the Sa Sal and s’Espardell restaurants, left a trail of destruction that remains untouched a year later. Despite being seen as essential hotspots for party-goers, these establishments lie dormant, their charred exteriors peeking through weather-worn green canvases. The eerie silence around these once-bustling venues is broken only by occasional visitors, with little sign of reconstruction in sight. This stark scene sits uncomfortably amidst Ibiza's perennial allure, serving as a grim reminder of an unsettling episode triggered by arson. As investigations revealed, the fire was a vengeful act ignited after a patron’s ejection, culminating in the arrest of two suspects attempting to flee the island. Twelve months on, the area’s recovery seems to have stalled, leaving behind a haunting memory for locals and tourists.
