Ibiza drew an astounding number of UK tourists and other visitors on 12 August, marking a new high in the island's storied history. Fuelled by an exceptional solar eclipse, the Pitiusas saw a combined presence of 373,345 people, with Ibiza itself teeming with 336,449 individuals. This influx broke the record previously set in 2025. Intriguingly, the day before the eclipse recorded 2,116,491 individuals across the Balearic Islands, highlighting the region's global allure. Amid the summer heat, this year's stellar event reshaped tourism patterns, as the calendar shifted its usual peak from the previous year's 6 August to the eclipse day itself. The state's Human Pressure Index reveals an unprecedented number of tourists among the mix, underscoring Ibiza's magnetic draw.
