UK travellers in Ibiza are feeling the pinch at the pump this summer, as petrol and diesel prices soar to their highest levels of the season. The end of reduced VAT rates on 1 July, coupled with rising global oil prices due to Middle East tensions, has led to a steady climb in fuel costs. Petrol now averages 1.765 euros per litre, while diesel hits 1.891 euros per litre on the island. This marks a significant increase from June's prices, with diesel seeing the largest hike at 16 cents more per litre. Motorists will notice a difference of up to 25 cents per litre depending on the station they choose. Despite these hikes, Ibiza still remains under the peak prices seen during the Ormuz Strait crisis. Yet, fuel here is pricier than the national average, costing 12 cents more for petrol and 17 cents more for diesel. Keep this in mind when planning your island adventures.
