On August 12th, Sant Josep is set to witness a spectacular solar eclipse, and with it comes a series of traffic and safety measures to ensure everyone can enjoy the event safely. Coordinated by the Sant Josep Town Council and the local police, a special operation is being put in place focusing on traffic flow, safety, and fire prevention.
From midday until 10:30 pm, road regulations will fluctuate with the flow of vehicles. Pre-cuts and full road closures may occur, limiting access to public transit, residents, credentialed workers, and pre-booked customers, ensuring exit lanes remain unblocked.
In cases of total road closures, only emergency vehicles will have access, with specific resident areas remaining vehicle exclusive for local residents.
Authorities stress the need to avoid open flames to prevent wildfires. People are advised to plan their travels early and adhere to local police and civil protection directives. Opting for sustainable travel methods is encouraged, especially walking, to minimize traffic and enhance enjoyment and safety during the eclipse.
