Ibiza Sees a Dip in Tourists Despite Overall Growth in the Balearics

The Balearic Islands continue to draw crowds, but Ibiza and Formentera experienced a rare drop in visitors this September. A total of 547,659 tourists visited these islands, marking a 2.37% decrease from last year. Meanwhile, Mallorca and Menorca saw slight increases in their tourist numbers. Despite this dip, the UK market showed strength across the Balearics in September, with a remarkable 18.71% increase compared to 2025, comprising nearly a quarter of all arrivals. In contrast, the traditionally strong German market saw a decline. From January to September, the British tourist count in the Balearics rose by 8.99%, further solidifying the UK's position as the leading international visitor contributor.
