As summer kicks off in Ibiza, new measures are being implemented to manage the bustling crowds headed to the island’s famed beaches, Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta. Starting from the 1st of May through to the 15th of October, vehicle access to these scenic spots will be carefully controlled daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This initiative aims to ensure safety and maintain orderly access, especially considering the area’s heightened wildfire risks. Special exemptions exist for local residents, taxis, bicycles, and vehicles adapted for those with mobility challenges. In a bid to encourage sustainable transport, visitors can use a convenient public transport service starting from Sant Antoni, or enjoy a scenic boat ride from its harbour. Additionally, a pedestrian path provides a safe and direct route from the parking area to Cala Salada, promoting an eco-friendly approach to beach visits. These controls align with the ongoing commitment to protect these cherished natural environments while offering a seamless visitor experience.
