Charlotte Mensforth, a renowned British artist who found her muse on the sun-kissed shores of Ibiza, has passed away at the age of 90. Mensforth, originally from the UK, was deeply inspired by the Balearic Islands' dazzling landscapes, turning them into stunning works of art that enchanted audiences globally. Her journey to Ibiza began aboard a ship to the Canary Islands, where she met her husband, author Jack Beeching, who shared with her a deep affection for the island. Over the years, she wove her artistic tapestry across the globe, with exhibitions from Ottawa to Australia, capturing the unique vibrancy of each locale through her exceptional eye for colour and composition.
On returning to Ibiza in 2010, after her spouse's death, Mensforth continued to illuminate the island through her art. Her work was last showcased in 2021 at the Espai Cultural Can Portmany in Sant Antoni, where her paintings reflected the bright atmospheres and vivid colours of Ibiza.
